Hi everyone,
My name is Edward Darby, a 21 year old mostly eventer based in the outer North – Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I also do a bit of showjumping and have also recently been competing in a bit of straight dressage.
I enjoy all things horses and believe that all disciplines help your riding to be its best. My current team consists of 3 homebred horses, they are;
- Dawn Of The Day – 12yo WB / TB mare
- Somerset Day – 6yo WB / TB gelding
- Odins Day – 9yo WB / TB gelding
Dawn being the main of the 3, recently stepping up to 3* and being selected as part of the Young Rider Australian Oceania Championships Team 2022. One of our recent wins at Wandin Park International in the CCI2L has really highlighted her progress and far she has come. She is a big bold Chestnut ready for anything and I am very excited for her continuing future.
The key to her Dawns eventing success has been through practice in the straight showjumping as well as straight dressage where she is now ready to jump some young rider classes and hopefully some medium level dressage tests later in the year. We are excited to also be competing (having qualified) for the Zeep. Melbourne International 3 day event, 2022.
I was first introduced to Jin Stirrup in 2018 at Melb 3DE where I walked away with a helmet and a set of stirrups which I was slightly skeptical of at first but have since used them daily and would not use any others given the choice.
The JS wide and shaped (sloped/ergonomic & anatomic) foot bed gives me great stability, and I can rely on this stirrup. These well thought out designs and sensible features are seen throughout the entire JS range making them a quality product that can handle daily use while still being elegant. I love riding in Jin Stirrup, and it’s a team that I am proud to be part of.
